Luminoth Lore Projectors are the mechanism by which Luminoth Lore is stored across Aether. The projectors feature a yellow circle with a single dot in it (resembling the eye on the back of Dark Samus' hand), surrounded by a brown border and a darker brown frame with points, that project a holographic word in the Luminoth language, with a glow of the color of that area. In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Samus can scan these Projectors to download the Lore to her Logbook. After she does this, however, the hologram will fade into the mechanism and it will shut into a metallic circle with a single hole in the center. Scanning it states that it is locked permanently, which is a common feature among most Lore mechanisms Samus encounters. Initially, Samus' Translator Module is unable to translate all L

Scanning it states that it is locked permanently, which is a common feature among most Lore mechanisms Samus encounters. Initially, Samus' Translator Module is unable to translate all Lore, but upon visits to the Sentinels of each temple on Aether, they will update her Module to translate Violet, Amber, Emerald and Cobalt holograms, allowing her to scan all Lore. Translator Doors are similar.
