- The Angry Video Game Nerd (formerly The Angry Nintendo Nerd and often abbreviated The Nerd) is the title character of the popular web-series of the same name portrayed and created by James Rolfe. In each episode, he reviews a different poorly made video game, foul-mouthedly complaining, overreacting and often shouting about either graphic and music quality or game-play, but more reasonably the latter. His mortal enemy is the Nostalgia Critic.

- Super NES Angry Video Game Nerd is The Nerd wearing NES accessories as a form of armor and weapons. This is one of the few times we see the Angry Video Game Nerd without his glasses. Although the suit is lacking a few accessories, the NES Turbo controller, the Speedboard, and the Roll N' Rocker and U-Force were are added later battles.

- The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN or The Nerd for short) is an online series created by and featuring James Rolfe. Each episode provides satirical and crude review on older video games that are deemed to have low quality. The show and name of the character was originally The Angry Nintendo Nerd, but was changed as of Episode 14 to allow for game reviews outside the Nintendo library to be reviewed, and to avoid any copyright problems with the company. Several episodes focused on the Back to the Future video games and several games in the LJN library.
