  • The Angry Video Game Nerd (formerly The Angry Nintendo Nerd and often abbreviated The Nerd) is the title character of the popular web-series of the same name portrayed and created by James Rolfe. In each episode, he reviews a different poorly made video game, foul-mouthedly complaining, overreacting and often shouting about either graphic and music quality or game-play, but more reasonably the latter. His mortal enemy is the Nostalgia Critic.
  • He is a short-tempered and foul-mouthed video game fanatic who delivers commentary and sketches on retro video games he considers to be of poor quality

  • The Angry Video Game Nerd was born in New Jersey and he got a Nintendo for his birthday. It also contained a game called "Super Mario Brothers" and he played that game all day, but there was one area where he got stuck on and that's when the frustration began....
  • The Angry Video Game Nerd (often called AVGN because everyone is lazy) is an alcoholic nerd and an all powerful life form that reviews classic, crappy, video shames. He can PWN Mario in 2 seconds. 2 SECONDS. He is also immortal (of course, why not?). He has all kinds of crazy stuff happening sometimes in the middle of a review, for example, Spider-Man entering his house, him fighting Jason Voorhees, him beating the $h!t out of Bugs Bunny, and a duel against a Super Mario shame possessed by a cow-like demon. He also killed Nostalgia Critic many times (but he always revives himself). Dr. Rabbit once tried to defeat him, but The Nerd destroyed him in 5 seconds! HOW EPIC!
  • James Rolfe, better known as the Angry Video Game Nerd reviews bad (and sometimes good Nintendo games). His first review was Castlevania 2 : Simon's Quest, and his least favorite game is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hide for the NES. Mike Matei often makes an appearane in his videos, so far as Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, and Leatherface. His videos can be found on Youtube, Gametrailers, Cinemassacre, and Screwattack. He also reviews Atari amd Sega games
  • Super NES Angry Video Game Nerd is The Nerd wearing NES accessories as a form of armor and weapons. This is one of the few times we see the Angry Video Game Nerd without his glasses. Although the suit is lacking a few accessories, the NES Turbo controller, the Speedboard, and the Roll N' Rocker and U-Force were are added later battles.
  • The Angry Video Game Nerd is the titular character of a series of farcical retrogaming video reviews by James D. Rolfe.
  • The Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN or The Nerd for short) is an online series created by and featuring James Rolfe. Each episode provides satirical and crude review on older video games that are deemed to have low quality. The show and name of the character was originally The Angry Nintendo Nerd, but was changed as of Episode 14 to allow for game reviews outside the Nintendo library to be reviewed, and to avoid any copyright problems with the company. Several episodes focused on the Back to the Future video games and several games in the LJN library.
