| - The Cavalier Party is a traditionalist conservative political party of the Holy Luthori Empire. Operating under the motto of "God, Emperor, Country," the Party embraces a political philosophy that emphasizes patriotism, a celebration of traditional Luthori civilization and high culture, agrarianism, maintenance of the established hierarchy, the defense of Luthori tradition and custom, and a belief in the principles of natural law and a transcendent moral order. In general, the Cavaliers are closely aligned with the monarchy, the nobility, and the Luthori Church. The greater bulk of the Party embraces classical liberal economic theory, though a growing, pragmatic and paternalistic wing within the Cavaliers has voiced support for the idea of a mild welfare state.

Founded in 3827, the Cavalier Party traditionally draws its strongest support from the landed aristocracy and minor gentry of the Empire, though in recent elections the Party has been able to develop a base of rural commoners. The Party has a strong following in the Duchy of Geharon, which it has held in every election since 3832, and in the Duchy of Utagia, which it swept from the Liberal Alliance in 3837. The Party, which frequently finds itself as one of the nation's largest parties, has a tradition of cooperation with the Liberal Alliance on domestic issues and with the Hosian Socialist Party in matters outside the realm of economics. The Cavaliers are currently lead by party founder, former Minister of Justice, and Imperial Seal Bearer Sir Ambrose Tudor. In the 3840 elections, the Cavaliers became the largest party in the Diet, but did not command enough seats to establish a functional government. Tudor made a secret pact with the leaders of a number of right-of-center parties to form a Cavalier-led cabinet in exchange for transforming Luthori's hereditary monarchy for an elective one. Though this landed Tudor in the position of Imperial Seal Bearer, he was perceived by certain elements of the Party has having sold out a key Cavalier principle for his own personal advancement. Under Tudor, the Cavaliers effectively governed the nation throughout the decade, along with their Liberal Alliance and Hosian Socialist Party allies. They backed the claim of Charles of House Steuart-Geharon to the throne. In 3850, the Hosian Socialist Party broke from the traditionalist team and joined a leftist cabinet which ousted the Cavaliers from the government. though the Cavaliers remained the largest party in the Diet, and Emperor Charles remained in power until the shocking upset of the Luthori General Election 3854, wherein they were remanded to second place and Charles was forced to abdicate in favor of a commoner. Backlash to the Party's recent failings was severe, and in late 3854, a group of brash, young, fiercely conservative aristocrats, led by naval officer Rowan Spencer, rode the tide of discontent to overthrow the Party's relatively moderate leadership and pushed the party much further to the right.
