The technique itself expands at such a rate that it can easily reach clouds tens of miles into the sky within a couple of seconds of typical use, leading to the normal restraining of the technique range. Because of the Vile Vortices natural link with the Earth itself, it typically doesn't reduce any effected Earth into energy as it expands, but simply passes through it while fulfilling its duty. Due to the effects of the Vile Energy, when expanding the technique will generate a vortex capable of pulling the souls of anything that died into its epicenter, as they are put in a state typical of suspended animation. Affected souls will simply linger in place until the vile energy that affected them ceases, after which they will ascend to the Pure Land. This only further reinforces the fact that Vile Energy is capable of giving physical form to the soul itself. Alternatively, it can be used in an EMP-like manner, allowing it to disembody the very souls of those within range of the technique for a brief period. In this same fashion, it can also be used to connect to the Pure Land and anchor a soul to its rightful body.
