- ]] Brontoscorpio (English: "Thunder Scorpion") was a main predator during the Silurian period that looked much like a scorpion (hense the name). It belonged to a group of invertebrates called Eurypterids (or sea scorpions). It was about 1 meter long and probably ate mollusks such as cephalaspis. This article is a stub. - Brontoscorpio was arguably the largest true scorpion of all time. Brontoscorpio was one of the earlist scorpions ever, as they only evolved in the Silurian. They lived on land, but in Brontoscorpio's case they can live in the sea. Brontoscorpio went on land to mate, moult its shell and even catch smaller prey. But Brontoscorpio was on top of the food chain. That honour went to the giant eurypterids (Pterygotus), who in turn ate Brontoscorpio.
- Brontoscorpio was a species of large scorpion from the Silurian period.
