Ricardo Mage is an enemy in Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. It will constantly cast various magic spells, including status and elemental spells, and will counter all physicals with Fire and all magicals with Curse. Bringing Rune Armlets will protect against their Silence spell, which is devastating to Palom and Leonora, while the player should bring along plenty of Antidotes, or keep around a Staff to use in-battle to counter the Poison spell. Overall, this enemy is not a very difficult enemy and will generally be the last one defeated in most groups.

Ricardo Mages will follow a strict pattern of Attack > Poison > Attack > Slow > Attack > Drain, and will then continuously cast Drain for the rest of the battle.
