The UNSC Rearmament and Revitalization Act of 2553, or more commonly referred to as the Twenty-six Year Plan or simply the Reconstruction Act, was an official resolution enacted by the UNSC Security Committee on November 16th, 2553 that would serve as the basis for reconstruction efforts in both rebuilding the military as well as restoring and repopulating former colony worlds lost during the Human-Covenant War. Although several pieces of legislation passed by the United Earth Government had already been in existence for several months regarding the issue of the resettlement of colony worlds, the Reconstruction Act would later come to be known as the first document in which the UNSC was given the responsibility of full governance in the colonies.
