Robert Veer was the grandson of the famous playwright William Veer and father of Almaric, Delora, Gerard and Tywion as well as the head of the House of Veer in Remonton. He was outraged when he heard that Gerard had been murdered and Delora had been kidnapped, and he promised to pay a large sum of money for the head of the criminal, Omaroch d'Zarnagon, during the events of Darkness Within, although he remained unaware that Omaroch hadn't in fact killed Gerard. Robert died some time later and is best remembered for having translated several of William Veer's harsh plays into popular albeit mellowed down operas, the most famous of which is Rusokan and Abseria.
