- Igloos are the natural homes of penguins, where they live, in addition to any puffles they may have. Players can decorate their igloos with many various types of furniture, as well as flooring, or even change the scenery behind their igloos. There are many variants of igloos, most of which can only be bought by members from the Furniture & Igloo Catalog, although some can be obtained from parties, or by codes. Some igloos are also available for all players. All players start with the Basic Igloo. A list of online, opened igloos on a server can be accessed by clicking on the igloo on the map.
- No one knows what an igloo is. There are several theories trying to prove its existence. But as they are theories, like all theories, they have not been able to come to any conclusion. Some say an igloo is a house. But there is a heated debate (ironically in the coldest parts of the world) whether they meant "hows" or a "house", adding to the ambiguity.

When Sims who are sleeping in an igloo wake up, they automatically change into the appropriate clothing for the area of Vacation Island they're in. Just having a hotel key doesn't allow Sims to use igloos, but Sims that have hotel keys can rent them. While the rental shack clerk talks of "checking out" when an igloo is rented, what appears to happen is that the rental expires at 11:00 AM.
- After clearing Snowy Peak of the usual flora, fortress walls and an igloo were left to build. Finishing the igloo was for the 3rd (and last) quest in the holiday series. It was made with Snowballs that came from looting Snow that appeared on Snowy Peak after it was cleared. This is the quest and the igloo before rebuilding -->> This is the first stage of rebuilding -->> Second stage... -->> Third... -->> And last... -->>

Larger igloos may include public spaces and multiple rooms for more than one family. Although snow is cold, it is also a good insulator. Inside an igloo it can be reasonably warm and comfortable -- as warm as 16 °C (61 °F) heated by just body heat. The interior may be lined with skins and may also form an ice lining by the mix of heat inside and refreezing from the cold outside.

- Igloos are shelters built out of blocks of compacted snow or ice. These are hard to make and really, if you want to make one well, you should be taught by a person skilled in making them, but here is a set of instrucions anyway. Note that the snow may not always be suitable for making an igloo and if it's powdery you may have to resort to building a Quinze.

- The Igloo is a structure that generates in Snow biomes, and it debuted in 1.9. It has a small room with a crafting table, furnace, and bed inside of it. Occasionally, under the carpet in the igloo there will be a ladder that leads down to a secret room, sometimes referred to as the basement. There will be 2 cages with a villager and a zombie villager, both of which are priests; a chest with a Golden Apple (and other random loot); and a Brewing Stand with a Splash Potion of Weakness. This is a method that the game has in order to introduce new players to curing Zombie Villagers using a potion of weakness and a Golden Apple. - The Igloo is a rough stone hut with no windows on a flat area or platform in the woods above Rio Bay and Holly Howe, which the Swallows, Amazons and D’s use as a daily base in Winter Holiday until they get the Fram. It is called by the Eskimo name of igloo. In The Picts and the Martyrs Dorothea says that they could live there as Picts, except that it is on the other side of the lake (PM3).
- The Igloo is a non character card added in the Beta 4.8 update with the relatively unique ability to summon a random common card to the board at the end of your turn, this includes cards like the Doodlebog. This will continue to occur until the card is destroyed, no gold is used when cards are summoned, however Battlecries and Future effects will not initiate as these only occur if placed from the hand to the board, other abilities like charge still work (however the card is placed after your turned is ended so you wouldn't be able to use the charge on it anyway) and can attack, since those monsters are placed at the start of your turn now.
