The Sabotage Artillery Weapon, also commonly known as the SAW Droid or SAW Sabotage Droid, was a small but deadly droid the size of a large hand grenade. It was propelled by small, miniaturized ion jets, and equipped with several retractable vibroblades that were magnetically charged, as well as a means to overload the reactor and cause a large explosion, to be used as soon as the vibroblades did their work. It was most commonly used as a Starfighter Munition, capable of destroying most ships when they had little or no shielding to protect them. However, it was not too uncommon to see it used as a Personal Weapon, either in the hands of a Battle Droid or an organic soldier.
