The teams played their home games at Centennial Field from 1947 to 1949, and afterward at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida. There were seven different coaches during this time, starting with Ed Williamson and ending with Darrell Mudra. The next year, 1976, Bobby Bowden became head coach.
