Depicted in paintings and sculptures, their physical appearances differed in interpretation from one domain to another. The gods were believed to live in a plane parallel from the physical universe, and were thought of possessing physical bodies. According to the Priest caste there had been a time when the Yun'o had enough strength that they could manifest via life energy and interact with supernatural powers and that users of the Force emulated this power at a lower caliber, the Yun'o too held different names and it was spawned from the language of creation: the code language that the Gods can choose to communicate in, examples of these name changes are that Yun-Yuuzhan preferred to be called Creare by the Yun'o and those he allowed while it seemed to be his true Divine nature, the Yuuzhan Vong however continued to call him Yun-Yuuzhan in respect and were often angered by the "Infidels" lack of respect when they continued to call him Creare. According to legend, in the Before-Time, Yun-Yuuzhan, the creator promised the lesser gods that they could ascend to his rank if they could find beings to take their place. To the Yuuzhan Vong, this meant a race such as themselves, and was the justification for their pursuit of escalation - a task that the physical representations of their Gods in the Universe were voided from that sacrifice, as they had sacrificed much before in their true bodies.
