Starting 7th in the Qualifier event, Potter completed all but one lap in route to a solid 10th place run, a career best. He easily transferred back into the Daytona 500, where he kept out of trouble to finish a solid 15th. He also tacked on a solid run at Martinsville that saw him survive the tough track in 12th.
