- [Source] Les Neti sont une espèce originaire de la planète Myrkr avant de partir vers Ryyk dans la Bordure Médiane. C'est une espèce très spéciale puisque Les Neti sont en réalité constitué de plante, leur permettant de pouvoir changer de formes et de vivre très longtemps. Ils sont aussi sensible au feu, et ont besoin de beaucoup d'eau pour survivre. Les Jedi Ood Bnar et T'ra Saa étaient tous deux des Neti.
- The Neti were a species of shapeshifting sentient plants first encountered on the planet of Ryyk. Some called them Ryyk because of the planet's name. Notable Neti included the Jedi Masters Garnoo, Ood Bnar, T'ra Saa, and the Sith librarian Dail'Liss.
- They had tough gray skin similar to plant bark, multiple thin branching arms, and thick body trunks. Neti foliage tended to be brownish or black and grew on the upper parts of a Neti's body. As plants, Neti survived through photosynthesis, though they also needed some water to survive. Neti were extremely long-lived, with an average life span of several thousand years. Neti reproduction only occurred once every few centuries. Seeds often remained dormant for more than a thousand years before germinating.
- Tvar netiského těla se nejvíce podobal kmeni stromu s tmavou, tvrdou kůží, podobnou kůře. Mělli několik větvovitých rukou, nohou připomínajících kořeny a dalších výrůstků a z horní části těla jim rašily tmavé listy. Důsledkem dlouhověkosti tohoto druhu byl i velmi dlouhý interval v rozmnožování, který trval i několik staletí. Neti se množili pomocí semen, která po sobě většinou zanechávali v půdě. Semena navíc mohla zůstat dřímající i tisíc let, než vzklíčila. Populace Netiů tak vždy zůstávala velmi malá, a příliš se ze svého domovského světa nešířila.
- The Neti is commonly considered to be a sentient being, often confused with women of voluptuous design, but this is in fact a lie construed by lumberjacks, similar to Earth's mermaid.
