Batman and Robin take a trip out of state to the state trooper barracks. There they meet Tom Bolton, a trooper who depises Batman. Bolton is the son of a dead criminal, Mike Nolan, and he believes Batman murdered his father. Tom is an honest cop however and carries on his duties despite his hatred. Batman is exonerated when Nick Rocco, Nolan’s partner and real killer, captures Tom and Batman and confesses. Tom and the Caped Crusader work together to stop Rocco, and Tom finally forgives Batman.

It lists the date 1937 and claims to be five years prior to the main sequence in this story.
