MySims was replaced by The Sims Medieval and SimAnimals with The Sims 3 (console), (Later The Sims 3: Pets). The site returned on September 29, 2011. On December 15, 2012 EA announced that TheSims2.com would be closed on January 14, 2013, and it was permanently closed on that date. Attempts to access it will result in a redirect to The Sims Portal. It appears that The Sims 2 website was redesigned to The Sims Portal.
