Serenade Moreaux has an identity crisis. At nineteen, she is a professional ballerina, professional online gamer, and a part-time student. Her life is completely changed when Sorbet Kanaloa, a new roommate, tells her that she is a reincarnation of a Princess Serenade, a leviathan. Serenade is told that she must regain her memories and reclaim her title. She is reluctant to believe any of it, but cannot deny the constant feeling that she's forgotten something, nor can she ignore all the memories rushing her in her dreams. Serenade struggles to defy her ultimate fate, which chains her to a past lover, past pain, and all the politics that come with being a princess. She will not let her past life overtake her present. But, perhaps, she wasn't so different from her old self after all
