AfterEllen.com is a website that focuses on the portrayal of lesbians and bisexual women in the media. It was founded in April 2002 by Sarah Warn, who serves as editor-in-chief. Michael Jensen is the editor of the gay male counterpart AfterElton.com, launched in January 2005. Both websites were bought in 2006 by the cable television channel Logo. AfterEllen.com is not affiliated with Ellen DeGeneres, although its name refers to the milestone for lesbians when DeGeneres publicly came out.
