The Unbrushables is told from Tails' perspective in a past tense format and a film noir style. Tails then goes after Gamble, only to find him in contact with Robotnik, who plans to use the money to finance a new army of Troopers. Just as Tails confronts the crook, having recorded the whole thing on a camcorder the gangsters stole earlier, the mob return. Tails convinces the mobsters to take a look at the recorded footage, and they quickly turn on Gamble, not wanting to be turned into Badniks should Robotnik return to power. They thusly convince Gamble to return all the money he stole from the people, and reveal themselves to now be afraid of something as simple as a water pistol after the residents' uprising against them.
