  • Hecuba is a major villain and boss in the video game Onimusha: Warlords. She is a Genma demon who disguises herself as a human in order to gain Samanosuke and Kaede's trust. When Kaede is alone and off guard, she kidnaps a young boy named, Yumemaru. She laters reveals her true form, a giant wasp-like creature that flies.
  • She was a survivor of the Sack of Troy, and sailed off with and under Odysseus from Troy. However during the voyage, she cast herself into the sea at the Hellespont. In one version of her parentage, she was daughter to Dymas of Phrygia and an unknown mother. In another version Cisseus of Thrace and an unknown mother are her parents, making Hecuba sister to Theano, wife of the Trojan lord Antenor. She was married only to Priam. She was mother of Hector, Paris, Helenus, Antiphus, Polydoros, Deiphobus, Pammon, Polytes, Laodice, Cassandra, Polyxena and Creusa.
  • Hecuba (deceased) is one of the many ghosts who haunt the forests on Croatoa. She is "elderly, like most of the ghosts, but she was barefoot and bareheaded, with her ghostly gray hair spilling down over her shoulders, which were covered only in a nightgown." She also bears a "conspicuous bloody wound in the center of her chest." Alexandra Quick met her and Joshua Thorn in November of 2009 after wandering in the forest and becoming ensared in a quicksand pit. Hecuba offered to inform Absalom Thorn that Quick and Valeria White were safe.
  • Hecuba presents herself firstly as a young human woman. She first appears just after Samanosuke has rescued Yumemaru. She claims her name is Nui, saying she serves Princess Hatsu. She tells them that Princess Yuki is underground. She then faints and is left to be looked after by Kaede. Later on, Stylado comes to where Hecuba has been with Kaede and Yumemaru. Hecuba grabs Yumemaru and Kaede is knocked out by Stylado.
  • Ancient sources vary as to the parentage of Hecuba. According to Homer, Hecuba was the daughter of King Dymas of Phrygia, but Euripides and Virgil write of her as the daughter of the Thracian king Cisseus. The mythographers Pseudo-Apollodorus and Hyginus leave open the question which of the two was her father, with Pseudo-Apollodorus adding a third alternate option: Hecuba's parents could as well be the river god Sangarius and Metope. Some versions from non-extant works are summarized by a scholiast on Euripides' Hecuba: according to those, she was a daughter of Dymas or Sangarius by the Naiad Euagora, or by Glaucippe the daughter of Xanthus (Scamander?); the possibility of her being a daughter of Cisseus is also discussed. A scholiast on Homer relates that Hecuba's parents were either Dym
  • Hecuba was a recurring character on Xena: Warrior Princess. She was the mother of Gabrielle and Lila and the wife of Herodatus. She resided in Potedia. She and Herodatus put Gabrielle and Perdicus into a planned marriage, but Gabrielle did not want to marry, and instead decided to travel with Xena. When Gabrielle returned home after the events in "Sacrifice II", Hecuba was tricked into thinking that Hope was Gabrielle. She showed resentment to Xena, all though was appreciative of her efforts to save Potedia from the Destroyer.
