In Vampire: The Requiem, the Malkovians are a bloodline of the Ventrue clan, who were founded by Anton Malkov (an inmate of England's Broadmoor Criminal Lunatic Asylum) and spread through his childe, Dr. James Griffith Hartleigh. They are known as "Lunatics," an apt description. While Ventrue in general are more prone to derangement than other Kindred, Malkovians are Embraced with a derangement that is theirs for eternity. Moreover, this illness may flare up when an attempt to Dominate another succeeds or fails by an exceptional degree.
