  • Iridescent Flint Beetles are beetles in the Pikmin series for Nintendo GameCube and New Play Control for the Wii. The Green beetle is the Iridescent Flint Beetle, the gold is the the Iridescent Glint Beetle, and the brown is the Doodle Bug. The Doodle Bug is special, as it can kill pikmin. He has some poison, which can kill pikmin, except for the white pikmin, as they are immune to poison. They all drop pellets and nectar when a pikmin lands on their back. Only the Flint beetle was in Pikmin and Pikmin 2, the other two are only in Pikmin 2. The flint beetle was a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. They can be defeated by spraying the Ultra Bitter Spray.
  • The Iridescent Flint Beetle (コガネモチ) is an enemy found in all Pikmin games. It is a beetle with an ovular, iridescent green carapace. To attack it, one must throw a Pikmin directly onto it, at which it glows red while overturning and drops a useful object; Pikmin attacking from the ground cannot harm it. This creature disappears after a certain amount of time has passed or it has been overturned enough times. Pikmin used to swarm around it if idle, but that was changed in Pikmin 2.
