The Council for National Policy (CNP), is a conservative American lobby group, membership of which is only available by invitation. (It is not to be confused with the liberal Center for National Policy.) It has been described as "a confidential network of several hundred highly influential conservative business leaders" (World Magazine Online). CNP was founded in 1981 by Tim LaHaye, author of the Left Behind series of books. It employs about eight people. Its first executive director was Woody Jenkins.
