During the Dark Ages, the Order of the Crooked Cross , sometimes also called Brotherhood of the Crooked Cross, was a band of malkavian knights who chose to honor their Antediluvian and followed a slightly different version of the christian Trinity found in the Book of Andreas and conatins the teachings of a vampiric disciple of Jesus named Andreas: Jesus, the Son; Caine, the Father and Malkav, the Holy Ghost. Through service and adherence to the sets of laws Jesus set, the Order tried to repent and redeem Caine from God's curse. To this end, they tried to follow the voice of Malkav and interpret his guiding madness.

The Knights symbol was a scarlike, misshapen cross and they usually wore patchwork armor, often rusted and old.
