  • * In "Widowmaker" Stan says that his favorite color is orange. In this episode he likes yellow, brown and green and he also used to like red, but lately "he's over it." * We learn that Steve's middle name is Anita. * A running gag involves a busboy arriving when someone points out that something isn't funny and remarking that it is kind of funny. The character design of the busboy was reused from "Moon Over Isla Island" where the figure was seen dancing to Banarama's "Venus" and painting a tree yellow. * The show breaks the fourth wall with both the busboy gag and we briefly see a camera and a boom mic inside the gorilla habitat filming Stan and Wilson. * Stan and Steve can be seen chilling out in the room from "My Morning Straitjacket" while listening to "Slow, Slow Tune" by My Morning Jacket. The song also plays during the end credits. * Stan says he thinks Francine fakes her orgasms while they have sex. In "Poltergasm", it is revealed that she does. * The DVD commentary notes that the film Rhinestone starring Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone has a similar plot setup to Roger's story of creating a county singer, but it was not discovered until after the episode aired.
