  • The Headman is a character that appears in Might and Magic: The Shadowsmith. He was the leader of the encampment of red-skinned men that Hitch and his group encountered when they stepped through a portal into the red-skied world. Hitch described him as a "stocky man of middle years". Like the other villagers, he was a very friendly, hospitable man. The people lived in large, open-sided tents, and the headman occupied the pale green tent at the center. The oldmother rested on a low, cushioned chair behind his own throne. She was greatly respected, and the headman often made sure he had her approval before making important decisions. The headman used to watch the other villagers during their games. They used tanned hides filled with stones as balls, and the teams would perform elaborate dances while trying to throw the balls at each other with their mental powers to distract the other team. The headman told them had loved to play as a younger man, but at his age, he lacked the concentration. Only the men were able to lift objects with their mind - the women could shake things instead.

He steals anything for the right price -- government secrets, weapon system specifications, and priceless art treasures. A truly evil villain with a fixation on order and control, he once created a drug empire based upon paramilitary standards with strict discipline and a rigid chain of command. The result was an organization that quickly devoured its competition and threatened to spread its addictive poison throughout the entire world. Now working alone, Headman offers his skills to the highest bidder, and is willing to do almost anything for the right price.
