Eléndar is rather tall, standing just above 6ft3, and for an arcanist, he has a rather muscular build (due to his service as a battlemage in the name of the Scryers), more lean than bulky however (reaching 185 lbs.) He tends to wear his silken hair long, letting it fully reflect the shine of the Eternal Sun. Though naturally blonde, he often uses magic to transmute it to other colours, such as red at the moment; his skin is often tanned gold and is somewhat ruddy. Due to his proficiency in the arcane path of magic, his eyes often flash between violet and green (were his eyes not flashing it is believed his eyes would be characterised by the - rare amongst high elves - colour of light brown). He tends to have a youthful, very attractive appearance - with rather msaculine features such as hi

  • Eléndar is rather tall, standing just above 6ft3, and for an arcanist, he has a rather muscular build (due to his service as a battlemage in the name of the Scryers), more lean than bulky however (reaching 185 lbs.) He tends to wear his silken hair long, letting it fully reflect the shine of the Eternal Sun. He tends to have a youthful, very attractive appearance - with rather msaculine features such as his long pointy nose-, and adorns himself with elaborate robes and gem-studded circlets (which he vastly prefers to cowls.) He is always well-groomed, though often upon returning from his various dungeon crawls he can appear somewhat dirty and messy. In spite of his elegance and sophistication, Eléndar is by no means effeminate, and takes offence to any suggestion of such a notion. Unlike his sister, Eléndar is not a natural loner. Though usually calm and collected, he is prone to emotional outbursts and depressive bouts, though it is difficult to tell when these occur due to his seemingly stoic nature. He is strong-willed and intelligent yet in spite of this, Eléndar often has a playful, childish personality, something that can be attested to by his conflicts with his likewise impetuous former student Kathmar, and his unabashed flirtation with Aenor Dawnblade. His study of arcane magic has allowed him to discipline himself and control his emotionally volatile personality. Eléndar also gets lonely rather fast, and thus is often wont to flirt rather relentlessly with blood elf males which catch his fancy. When upset he tends to cloister up rather than explode in fits of anger, leading to a rather destructive spiral of self-deprecation. Though Eléndar is by no means fearless, he is brave and will attempt to control his fears when it is necessary to face some evil or other. Eléndar was born to a well-to-do family in Silvermoon prior to its destruction, and thus like many blood elves was once a high elf. He is still young, merely of 113 years of age, but more mature than his age would indicate in spite of occasional flights into puerile behaviour. His mother was Aurianna, a paladin in service of the Light, and his father Thelerion, an arcanist of somewhat considerable power. Both parents were devoted to Prince Kael'thas, a devotion which Eléndar inherited and never let die. As he spent most of his time in the Western Sanctum, studying the art (or according to him, science) of magic, he was estranged with most of his relatives aside from his parents (and his older sister whom he rarely saw, and believes to be dead.) His friends mostly consisted of arcanists, most of whom died in the Scourge's relentless attacks on Silvermoon. Eléndar managed to survive the Scourge's attacks as he had already been transferred to Sunstrider Isle at the time for more intensive studies in sorcery. There, he studied in relative serenity and witnessed first hand blood elf experimentation with fel crystals, of which he learnt much. His instructor was a rather frigid Magistrix by the name of Alaria Wintermoon, who lived up to her name. Though distant and aloof, he grew fond of her, and learnt much in the way of the arcane at her hand. Alaria was neutral to Kael'thas's endeavours and believed the Third War was doomed. Eléndar retained much faith in his Prince but kept it private, to avoid friction with his mentor. Due to his inexperience with magic, he was held back from participating in any campaigns to fight back the Legion. Since then, Eléndar has grown much in power and has come to grips with Silvermoon after its reconstruction following its onslaught by the Scourge. He does not recognise the Horde's authority, nor identify with its leaders, and regards it as little more than instrumental towards the end of restoring the Sin'dorei to their former might. He does not, however, wish a return to the way of the Quel'dorei, and though sympathetic to them, wishes that they go their own way, or join the Sin'dorei. A lover of freedom and commerce, Eléndar does not approve of the means his Prince employed to conquer the Outlands, though he retains his wish to forge a new home for the Sin'dorei in the Outlands. With the help of his aide, Lynnetta, and devoted Blood Knights such as Morvegil, he managed to tame parts of the Outlands and open them for settlement, yet he has recently put his campaign (which he named the Resurgent Sun, in honour of Kael'thas's vision), on hold. He wishes to grow in power and understanding before continuing on his path of expansion, given that the challenges faced in the Outlands are steep, and the numbers aiding him, few. Even so, he seeks to resume his operations in the future, and plans on conscripting the aid of the Ethereals, with whom he is on very favourable terms, especially with the Nexus-Prince Haramad. Other than the Sha'tar, the Ethereals and the Naga, Eléndar sees the Sin'dorei as having no equals. He respects many individuals amongst the other races of the Horde, particularly trolls and orcs conversant in the use of magic (he does not regard the Forsaken as a race per se), yet he wishes for the Sin'dorei to go their own way and associate only by trade with their current allies. In spite of his dislike for the Horde, Eléndar is nothing but contemptuous of the Alliance. He has no time for it, and believes it is as pernicious as the Horde is in creating a collective mentality that disregards the role of individuals and creates unnecessary and futile divisions. In spite of being optimistic regarding the prospects of cooperation with the Draenei in the future, his bitter experiences with them have altered his mindset, particularly when Ishanah put a price on his head for aiding the Scryers. He considers the Kirin Tor and Dalaran to be excessively cosy with the Alliance to be worth his time, and too focused on big words and virtually no action. As he has developed warm relations with Voren'thal and the Scryers, whose trust he is still working on gaining (this is made harder by the fact that his aspirations from the Outlands parallel those of Kael'thas), he relies on their assistance and tutelage and has only served the Kirin Tor to avail himself of their ample power and means. He greatly respects Lady Sylvanas for her efforts in fighting back the Scourge and her friendship toward the Sin'dorei and believes an alliance with her would be more fruitful than any reversion to the Quel'dorei's relations. He is indifferent towards Lor'themar. Recently Eléndar has been considering the prospect of becoming a Magister to gain a more thorough understanding of how Silvermoon is run, and what errors it perpetrates so that he may avoid them in fashioning a new home for the Sin'dorei... Though not partisan to Malygos's insane schemes, he sympathised somewhat for the dragon's contempt for Dalaran. Be that as it may, given his willingness to participate in the war against the Scourge (particularly on the side of the Argent Crusade, whose leaders regard him with the utmost respect), Eléndar uses the Sunreaver headquarters as a base of operations. Upon the dissolution of his partnership with Lynnetta, he spends less time in Shattrath and the Outlands, though he is hellbent on gaining the cooperation of the Sha'tar, and ending Sin'dorei dependence on the Sunwell - in fact, he sees the restoration of the Sunwell as the continuation of the same mistakes perpetrated by the Quel'dorei. Though not keen on fel energies, Eléndar still regards manipulating them as a superior option to dependence on the Quel'dorei's old source of energy, and hopes eventually to rely on neither. His research in Netherstorm reflects this belief of his, and he has been keen on understanding the region's nature to see how the Sin'dorei might develop an independent, non-addictive source of vitality; he is not one prone to belief in gods, and he often considered his mother's devotion to the Light to be an ailment of the mind, that distorted her own personality and enslaved her to a rather thankless ideal of self-sacrifice (Aurianna died guarding the Sunwell), even though he loved her. Politically, Eléndar greatly values liberty, and wishes for the formation of independent city-states in the Outlands, free of the Magisterium's influence, though obviously he wishes to keep ties with Quel'thalas, it being his homeland and the abode of many of his friends and allies. He is fond of the Tauren for their peaceful ways (which he views in stark contrast to the imperious nature of the Horde) and tranquil homeland. Romantically, Eléndar is somewhat inexperienced and has only had one brief relationship, with Séris, leader of the Fireborne, a cult devoted (it is speculated) to Ragnaros. He formed a short alliance with the cult, only for it to unravel utterly. Currently he is in the process of forming a closer bond with a dark ranger that resides in Undercity known only as Shalis, whom he has grown to love deeply. Even so, Eléndar still enjoys flirting with handsome blood elves when given the opportunity, sometimes much to their chagrin. He has developed an association with Edanna Kal'es, and respects her as an arcanist even though he disagrees with her on some matters regarding the Outlands and the nature of magic. He sees her Invisible College as a possible counterweight to the Kirin Tor, should it flower, and is satiated by the fact that Edanna often hosts meetings of the circle in Shattrath and not Azeroth, a place he enjoys far more than any of the verdant plains or icy peaks of his homeworld. He also has remained on good terms with his former student, Kathmar, in spite of their rather explosive feuds, whom he seeks to assist in understanding the power of arcane magic, a power that can only be attained by full understanding of the principles undergirding the sorcery used both in the Outlands and on Azeroth. He is on good terms with many in the Invisible College, including Aenor whom he frequently puts in a state of anxiety. His only known pet is a white kitten by the name of Mistwalker, an unusual being with the ability to walk between worlds, capable of entering an ethereal state. It is said he has a whole bevy of pets, but none follow him around quite like Mistwalker. Her only marking is a silver spot on her forehead. Like the Sin'dorei, Mistwalker's emerald eyes glow due to the influence of fel energies. When still specialised in the path of frost, Eléndar's water elemental, Ssalas, worked closely with him, but since then he has been unable to retain contact with the exotic creature. Perhaps on resuming his study of frost magic the being might return... Eléndar prefers a horse risen from the dead as his mode of transportation, and when flying he will summon a magic carpet of his own fabrication. In what little free time he has, Eléndar enjoys studying mostly. He has a voracious appetite for knowledge concrning arcane magic, Ethereals, Naga, creatures of the Void, terraforming by magic, abjurative spells, and enchanting; it is safe to say magic is the only art which he truly loves. He often adventures solely to find new and hitherto unheard of formulas to enchant inanimate objects with. He is also skilled in tailoring, though takes much less pleasure in the vocation. Aside from mercenary work, Eléndar makes a living selling various magical components, such as the elusive infinite dust found in Northrend's magical items upon their decomposition, as well as the sale of portals to eager young travelers, as well as the old too frail to move by any other means. Recently he has developed a rather unsavory interest in lichdom, and seeks knowledge regarding the topic, given his admiration of the beings... and he has also embarked on study of a bizarre, animate staff he only knows as the Sulfur Stave, a staff which often whispers to him when he is least aware. His favourite drink is a strange variety of Sunstrider red wine mixed with arcane dust, which he transmutes to give rise to a rather volatile, energising cocktail. Aside from ales he loves fruity juices. He likes white meats such as trout or herbed dragonhawk flesh for meals.
