Witnessing the slow decay of age and finally death of friends and family members has a particularly profound impact on the elven psyche. The Forlorn are often melancholy individuals due to their prolonged contact with the short-lived races. Tragically, many of the Forlorn become downcast, or even withdraw entirely from others. It is not uncommon for members of the Forlorn to travel from place to place, fleeing from a home they perceive as being tainted by death. Prejudice and discrimination, both from humans and elves, can also be a factor for these young elves.

- It serves as Dalv's battle theme.
- Forlorn (Disadvantage, State/3 points, Religion/5 points, Senpet only) A character with the Forlorn disadvantage was disillusioned on the Senpet Empire or with the religion of the Ten Thousand Gods.
- The Forlorn was a Seven Cities cargo ship. It boasted two decks, the main and a raised second stern deck. The gap between was tall enough for most save the tallest of the men.

- Forlorn are mutants that are beyond saving: the crystalline cysts, crystallized bone spikes and tumors in their body will lead to their foreseeable demise. It is uncertain to what extent a Forlorn maintains a human psyche, but they are suicidal attackers and generally hostile to players (but not to other mutants, including mutant characters) and will try to close up to the player, detonating himself in a burst of crystal shards and toxic vapors. Forlorn will often be found near patches of radioactive ore, standing almost immobile against the backdrop of glowing crystal, until an enemy ventures near and they quickly engage from their camouflage to launch their attack. At other times, however, Forlorn appear as part of assault waves, softening up the enemy's defenses with their explosive attacks in advance for the other troops to then exploit the gap. Alternatively, they flood into an enemy's rear areas once other forces have forced a breach into the defensive perimeter, rapidly demolishing infrastructure and killing unprepared troops. These wretched individuals are severely mutated, with crystal cysts bursting through flesh and bone. Their mutations disable their movement and will impair their vital functions in the near term. Therefore, they have opted to give their lives in a last sacrifice for the mutant cause. They will approach opposing units and structures, blowing themselves up in a cloud of crystal shards, liquid tiberium and poison gas. Skeleton stormtroopers. Slighty stronger than basic skeletons, but essentially just cannonfodder used to exhaust the enemy and deplete resources. They are however very fast and always deployed in the first wave of an assault.
- Forlorn (Disadvantage, State/3 points, Religion/5 points, Senpet only) A character with the Forlorn disadvantage was disillusioned on the Senpet Empire or with the religion of the Ten Thousand Gods.
