Garegin Ter-Harutyunyan () better known by his nome de guerre Garegin Nzhdeh () (1 January 1886 – 21 December 1955) was an Armenian statesman. As a member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, he was involved in revolutionary activities in the First Balkan War, World War I and in the First Republic of Armenia. In 1921, he instrumented the establishment of the Republic of Mountainous Armenia, an anti-Soviet state that lead to the inclusion of Zangezur within Soviet Armenia. He is considered a national hero by Armenians.
