D'Angelo oversaw prostitution in Cleveland and was a trusted member of Pete Licavoli's inner circle. D'Angelo had a very long arrest record which included a 3 year stretch for conspiracy. In Ohio he worked closely with Thomas Licavoli, the boss of the Detroit mob's Toledo faction, "Machine Gun" Pete Corrado and Vito Giacalone. Despite his record, he was permitted to visit Thomas Licavoli in prison on numerous occasions unsupervised. He died of natural causes in 1990.
