The Giant shrew is the world's largest shrew, about the size of a sheep. Unlike other shrews, it is a herbivore and it has a slower metabolism than other shrews. It can live to be about 51-57 years old, but can rarely live to be about 66 years old. It lives in forests and woodlands of North America, and some live in human settlements.
