The Steel Talon was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer of the Imperial Navy. It was commanded by Admiral Conan Antonio Motti, head of naval operations aboard the Death Star.

- Steel Talon was an Imperial Star Destroyer with the Galactic Empire. It was forming a new Imperial Task Force of Frigates and Corvettes. The Captain felt this would help take down the Alliance. Steel Talon first arrived after Cruiser Nexus escaped to hyperspace after undergoing a hyperdrive repair and taking out Imperial Frigate Vulture. Later Steel Talon expected a supply convoy of freighters to help form its task force. However Keyan Farlander destroyed the supply convoy, aided by X-Wings and A-Wings.

| - Steel Talon was an Imperial Star Destroyer with the Galactic Empire. It was forming a new Imperial Task Force of Frigates and Corvettes. The Captain felt this would help take down the Alliance. Steel Talon first arrived after Cruiser Nexus escaped to hyperspace after undergoing a hyperdrive repair and taking out Imperial Frigate Vulture. Later Steel Talon expected a supply convoy of freighters to help form its task force. However Keyan Farlander destroyed the supply convoy, aided by X-Wings and A-Wings. Steel Talon later captured an Alliance Freighter delivering newly manufactured B-Wings for the Alliance. It would then arrive into the area where Cruiser Nexus received replacement starfighters. Both Steel Talon and Frigate Black Soul launched an attack on Nexus. Steel Talon ran out of fighters and withdrew while Black Soul failed to destroy the Nexus. Steel Talon would eventually arrive after the Alliance rescued Twilek Slaves from a band of pirates. It launched Tie Advanced Zeta to escort it. Steel Talon would then launch an attack on Alliance Frigate Maverick launching T/As and T/Bs. Keyan Farlander warded off the Imperials allowing Maverick to escape. Later Steel Talon and Black Soul would catch up with the Maverick launching a fierce assault on the Alliance Frigate. A large minority of the crew escaped. Before it reached hull damage the remnants of the ship evacuated in a group of Shuttles as Imperial Corvettes helped overpower the Frigate destroying it. Keyan Farlander in a B-wing took out numerous corvettes leaving Steel Talon and Black Soul without them. Steel Talon then rallied a group of corvettes coded TF meaning Task Force as well as the Frigate Black Soul in an attempt to take out the Alliance, while the Empire was tied up elsewhere. While waiting for a Shuttle and Transport to arrive Keyan Farlander arrived in a B-wing group Red Squadron. With only two T/As available Steel Talon launched them. Farlander took out numerous corvettes and then the Shuttle and Transport arriving. Bitter by the failures to create a new task force the Captain of the Steel Talon abandoned mission and fled into hyperspace, while Cruiser Nexus and Frigate Hoyt helped the B-Wings obliterate the Task Force. Steel Talon was retreating away from the Empire. The Captain was fearful that Darth Vader would execute him and decided to launch his own fleet against the Empire, still opposing the Rebels. The Alliance tracked Steel Talon's location and sent B-Wings, A-Wings and Y-Wings to destroy it. Three corvettes arrived to save Steel Talon only to fall victim to the Rebels. Steel Talon then fell victim to a heavy assault giving rebels victory once again.
