Synopsis
  • Jason Rusch detonates due to being more than a mile from Firehawk, taking out the Dollies who had kidnapped him. The Dolly Firehawk is fighting vanishes into thin air before she can capture him. Jason speculates the Dollies have something to do with Professor Martin Stein's disappearance. The two travel to Washington, D.C. so Firehawk can vote on an important nuclear disarmament bill, then to Jason's home in New York City to visit his girlfriend, Gehenna. The visit is interrupted, however, by the sudden rampage of Killer Frost through downtown New York. Before Jason and Lorraine can become Firestorm, however, Jason's father Alvin Rusch arrives. Firehawk goes out to fight Killer Frost alone, but Jason soon merges with her to form Firestorm. While fighting Killer Frost, however, Firestorm is shot in the back by Killer Frost's partner in crime, Mister Freeze.
