- The wind shield icon is an icon of a shield with wind blowing against its left side that will appear in the lower left corner of the screen whenever you are shielded from the wind by an object (such as a building with an interior, walls of a ruined building, exterior building such as a fishing shack, a snow bank along a road, or a large rock formation). When shielded from the wind the windchill effect of high winds on the player character is negated and campfires built will be protected from becoming windblown campfires .
- Wind Shield (風の護盾 Kaze no Godate) is a defensive spell cast by Shamal in StrikerS. It seems to be quite strong and durable as it is able to defend easily the quarters of Riot Force 6 from Otto's Ray Storm, until interrupted by Zafira's fall. Notably, before its first use in StrikerS, Wind Shield has already been shown in an artwork of A's. The timepoint of that image is in between the Wolkenritter's first appearance in front of Hayate and the receipt of Knight Clothing design.

It seems to be quite strong and durable as it is able to defend easily the quarters of Riot Force 6 from Otto's Ray Storm, until interrupted by Zafira's fall. Notably, before its first use in StrikerS, Wind Shield has already been shown in an artwork of A's. The timepoint of that image is in between the Wolkenritter's first appearance in front of Hayate and the receipt of Knight Clothing design. In appears in::The Battle of Aces, Wind Shield is also one of Shamal's moves to create shields in the air to protect against attacks from one direction. Unlike the anime version, it has a different design of flat whirlwinds.
