The Followers of Vorr was a brutal tribe of barbarians from Krewlod. King Targor and his men felt that the barbarians lacked a hero, an ideal to attempt to live up to, so they turned one of their ancient kings, the Barbarian Tyrant, into a war god, and made sacrifices to him. They felt that this war god could be the perfect leader that would inspire them to greatness once again. One of the Ancestors heard of this and accepted their worship, drew power from it, and took on the form of the war god, calling himself Vorr. Whether Vorr was already insane, or was driven mad by the violent worship of the barbarians is unknown, but he imprisoned the other Ancestors and decided to destroy the World Tree, the source of all life. Allied with a group of necromancers, the Followers of Vorr entered the mountain that contained the Tree, ready to destroy it. Fortunately, the other Ancestors managed to contact Tarnum the Immortal Hero and sent him to protect the World Tree. With the aid of the barbarian tribe that guarded the Tree, he fought Vorr's minions, but the bloodthirsty nature of these barbarians troubled him. They would attack his men on sight, and when he tried to send some of his prisoners back to their king with a message, they tried to strangle him as soon as he cut their bonds. So Tarnum sent a brave messenger to his foe, hoping to learn something about his enemy, and discovered that Targor had patterned both himself and his worship around the mythical Barbarian Tyrant - Tarnum's nickname before he became the Immortal Hero. Addar, Tarnum's wisest shaman, theorized that Vorr might lose his power if the Followers of Vorr no longer worshipped him, so Tarnum sent Grumba, his second-in-command, to find the Pendant of Total Recall. With it, he could show King Targor his memories from his time as the Barbarian Tyrant, and fracture their hero-worship of him. "With the help of the Pendant of Total Recall, Tarnum opened up his mind and revealed his darkest memories to King Targor. And Tarnum said, "I have spent centuries trying to redeem myself for these crimes. Don't follow my example!" So, King Targor fell to his knees, immediately realizing that he had been wrong. But it wasn't too late to correct his mistakes." The Followers of Vorr abandoned their god and joined Tarnum in his struggle. King Targor went before the Mad Ancestor to tell him that they would no longer worship him, but he never returned, and when Tarnum later found his broken corpse, he ordered his craftsmen to carve a statue dedicated to Targor's bravery.
