Purley House was an 8 storey tower block on Merritt's Hill on the Bangham Pit estate in Bartley Green, Birmingham. Approved in 1955, the tower block was the tallest of 3 blocks on the estate and the only one with a Y-shaped footprint. It was constructed by Wates and contained 48 flats. It has since been demolished after being designated a defective property under the Housing Defects Act 1984.
