Annie pops out and leaves Sam in charge of her Christmas puddings. He gets whisked off by Joe to tend to a bull. Janie and Frank fall out over where to spend Christmas when she wants to go to her mother's. Annie's annoyed to arrive back to find the puddings have boiled dry. Reverend Ruskin asks Joe if he can borrow a sheep for the church nativity play. Henry ponders whether to install a new fireplace in The Woolpack but Amos isn't keen until the sale has gone through. Reverend Ruskin is impressed with Frank's advancements on the war memorial. Janie's unimpressed with how much time and money he's spending on it. He explains that it's all a learning process. Annie invites Henry to Christmas dinner at the farm but he plans to invite Alison to The Feathers.
