  • Derin Nimdok was a highly skilled strategist serving in the navy of the Galactic Empire. Like many other Imperial leaders, he became a warlord after the Empire collapsed and the Imperial Remnant took its place. Despite his command ability, Nimdok largely lived in obscurity until the Dark Jedi known as Lord Randal came into power. Nimdok was quick to declare allegiance to Randal's leadership and scored several major victories against the New Republic as well as hostile Imperial Remnant factions in the Outer Rim. After Randal was killed and his subordinates split apart into their own small factions, Nimdok was left with a relatively small fleet in comparison to the other warlords. His territory consisted largely of the Minos Cluster and several small sectors in Wild Space. Since most of Wild Space was not-well known to his enemies, Nimdok was able to strike at rival Imperial fleets and retreat into his hidden sectors without fear of retribution. Being the only region of space that Nimdok controlled which was present in Imperial records, the Minos Cluster acted as a bottleneck for his entire territory. In the year 14 ABY, the Minos Cluster was invaded by a fleet under the Dark Order of Korr led by General Rifa Sabol. Although Sabol was initially on the offensive due to her larger fleet, the tide quickly turned against her as Nimdok used hit-and-fade attacks, supply line raids, and other strategies to weaken her forces. Once the General's armada was sufficiently thinned, Nimdok struck back and forced her out of the Cluster. By the end of the campaign, the majority of Sabol's fleet was destroyed and the defeated officer retreated back to the Dark Order.
