In 1998 Baksh began playing lead guitar for Sum 41. In 2006 quit Sum 41 to form Brown Brigade citing a desire to play in a more hard rock styled band. Band members Steve Jocz and Jason McCaslin have stated in interviews that Baksh was unhappy with his involvement in Sum 41 for some time before leaving, and that his departure was expected. After a while in Brown Brigade, Baksh started a new band, The Organ Thieves, who play a soul-influenced experimental hard rock.
