It also saw operation with commuter coach operations, such as the short-lived Kentish Express of Kentish Bus, Alder Valley and the Oxford Bus Company's Oxford Citylink. After retiring from coaching duties, due to their stylish appearance and long length, many double-deck Metroliners were converted to open-top buses by Ensign bus, for use on their London Pride Sightseeing operation, latterly passing to The Original Tour. Metroliners also found use on standard long distance bus route, and various private hire and non-PSV uses.
