A Kharibdyss is a carnivorous ocean dwelling beast. Many can be found trailing under Naggaroth's western coastline and in the Boiling Sea. To the denizens of Clar Karond, a Kharibdyss is a great and powerful creature, one that only the very richest can afford to own and master. Kharidysses seldom come onto land on their own accord, it usually requires a Sorceress to charm one to do so. Once the creature crawls out from the sea, the Beastmasters set themselves to the arduous task of capturing it. The Charybdis (Χάρυβδις) was a sea monster in Ancient Greek mythology.

A Kharibdyss calls a high price at market. The creature is almost unstoppable at sea and is utterly devastating on the field of battle. It's colossal strength, indomitable constitution and many bladed limbs make it a terrifying foe to behold. The beast is probably as intelligent as it is alluring, but it makes up for this with its savage ferocity. Kharibdysses are naturally aggressive and so do not need to be incensed before battles. It's not unheard of for a poorly trained Kharibdyss to go rogue and attack its own warhost. Thankfully such occurrences are rare, and the beastsmasters responsible are almost always sorely punished. The Charybdis (Χάρυβδις) was a sea monster in Ancient Greek mythology.
