Turpentine Dragons were released on April 25, 2012, as part of "The Turpentines" release. Originally, the eggs of this dragon dropped in the biome but this was later changed to the biome. The reason behind this was explained by the spriter, , who divulged that this dragon was created and taken off the forum's Completed List long before the existence of biomes, resulting in the spriter never officially choosing a biome for this breed. They did post in the release thread however, that they were surprised to see it released in the alpine biome and thought the desert was more fitting. It is speculated that saw the spriter's biome preference, and changed it as a result, but the spriter cannot be sure as they were too shy to contact TJ09 about the change.

Adult
  • *It is hard to earn their trust, particularly if you are not another turpentine, but they are loyal to those they do trust and take breaking that trust seriously. *They can use magic, but rarely do so. Most do not have the patience to do so, those that do learn it though tend to be highly valued. *They form large packs, usually between twenty and forty individuals. *They will form alliances with neighboring packs, often against rival packs. *They are great hunters, using highly coordinated strategy, using their agility and speed as well as numbers to catch prey that is larger and stronger than them. *They are not above stealing from others, however. They will avoid stealing from those they have alliances with.

When bred to Lumina Dragons, the Turpentine's oily coating causes Luminas to shed their scales and temporarily change their sprites.
