- Billy Graham (1918 - ) is an old reverend and a highly influential evangelical. He is a Protestant Southern Baptist but is less nagging in his biblical viewpoint than many. Graham has been preaching for many years; and takes the Bible very seriously, though he has generally been fairly tolerant. For example Graham worked with Martin Luther King Jr. However he does have fundamentalist viewpoints as well, for erxample not voting for Kennedy because he was a Catholic and he is against Gay marriage. Of course, fundamentalists were out to eat him alive because Graham is an influential Democrat. Despite that in 2012 Graham Prayed with W. Mitt Romney and effectively endorsed him. Well, errr?

Many of his sermons center on the topic "Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation." - A: First of all it's important to realize you are not alone in your worry. As you probably well know, it was during His Sermon on the Mount that Jesus said: "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth" (Matthew 5:5). - William Franklin "Billy" Graham, Jr. (born November 7, 1918) is an American Christian evangelist, ordained as a Southern Baptist minister, who rose to celebrity status in 1949 with the national media backing of William Randolph Hearst and Henry Luce. His sermons were broadcast on radio and television, some still being re-broadcast today. Graham has repeatedly been on Gallup's list of most admired men and women. He has appeared on the list 55 times since 1955 (including 49 consecutive years), more than any other individual in the world.
