Portly character actor Clifton James (b. 1921) appeared as Walter 'Shadetree' Burns in "The Deadly Replay". With a film and TV career dating back to the mid-1950s, James is perhaps best known for playing a string of country sheriffs in the 1970s and '80s, most notably Sheriff JW Pepper in the James Bond films Live and Let Die and The Man With the Golden Gun (the latter released around the time he appeared in SMDM), as well as similar characters in Silver Streak and Superman II, not to mention a number of TV series including The A-Team and The Fall Guy.
