Baron den Snau was an evil man, whose fingers were apparently in all the criminal pies in North East Khul. His lineage was questionable and largely bought. No moral obligation would deter the Baron from attaining profit if he saw it. His downfall came when he associated himself with Arachnos, and was killed due to this association by the hero known as the Lonely Mariner. Despite his famed poisoned sword, the Baron was no match for the hero. Aside from his dubious character, the Baron did have an eclectic side to his nature and an extension of this was his famed arboretum with such rare and exotic examples as the Allansian Flare Tree finding a place there. The Baron also enjoyed collecting the fauna of Khul, and had a rare Scytheran Desert Cat as a pet.
