Kasag Fohr was born on Dathomir to Norbia Hja and Fayus Illiun Fohr. Both of them fled from the planet due to persecution by Norbias mother who did not accept the relationship between Norbia and the warrior prisoner from Kodrun. They fled toward Coruscant where the baby named Prumis Dadaos Fohr was then taken in by the Jedi Order. As a youngling he proved to be very talented, and would attract much attention to himself. At age twelve he decided to change his name, since Prumis Dadaos meant "Noble and Superior", and as a Jedi he did not consider himself superior to anyone. So he changed it to Kasag which in the language of his father meant "devoted to others".

So he changed it to Kasag which in the language of his father meant "devoted to others". At age thirteen he was taken by Jocasta Nu to be her Padawan. As her Padawan he spent much time in the library, learning about various places in the Galaxy. This eventually led to him being quite an adventurous Jedi, when he was proclaimed a Knight. He went on several missions, notably to Bogden, Borealis, Doldur, Durin, and Oovo IV. One famous mission by him was to Aargau to investigate the dealings of the banking clan there. On a mission to the far exterior side of the Galaxy, Kasag came upon the planet of Kansuul. There he met a young boy named Yato Haknan, whom he immediately sensed an abnormal connection to the Force.
