He operated out of the Motor City gym on woodward avenue, Detroit. He was an associate of the New York mob and of the Detroit Partnership. He was once called before the Rackets Committee during a Teamsters Union investigation along with Raffaele Quasarano, a member of the Detroit mob. Finazzo died on October 28, 1994 at the age of 86.
