Samuel Kenneth Gruneisen (born January 16, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky, died September 28, 2012 in Orlando, Florida) was an American collegiate and Professional Football center for the American Football League's San Diego Chargers, and in the NFL for the Chargers and Houston Oilers. Gruneisen attended Villanova University. He kicked two PATs and a 26-yard field goal in Villanova's 17-9 victory over Wichita in the 1961 Sun Bowl. After completing his tenure in the Professional Football, Gruneisen coached at several levels of the sport.
