- Firefly was the best television show ever, but was canceled because Fox Tv are retards. Jebus Crise, didn't somebody have the balls to stand up to the Network and to piss on their money? Basically the show was unable to attract viewers because the retarded monkeys at Fox fucked with it. They showed episode three before episode one, showed episode 10 after episode 13, and didn't show episode 14 (the best episode) at all. It stared the lovely Summer Glau, who went on to become a killer robot as a result; so at least some good came of it.

As he got closer to the room, the torch he was using as a light source ignited the gas, triggering an explosion. Afterward, the mechanist began using fireflies, a non-flammable light source, in order to see in the dark corridor leading up to the room. When Team Avatar arrived at the temple, the mechanist showed Sokka the location of the room, using lanterns containing fireflies as a light source. Cancelled after a three-month run of 11 episodes on Fox, it nevertheless found a rabid fan base that has called for its renewal for the past fifteen years. Naturally, such a fierce, persevering effort could only fail. Nevertheless, DVD sales of the TV series were strong enough for Whedon to turn Firefly into a small franchise, with a movie and tie-in RPG, and several comic books, thereby making up for fourteen years of lost potential profit.

- The Firefly is a pod vehicle designed by Brains. A dual-purpose fire-fighting and debris-clearance vehicle, the Firefly's forward-mounted shield is constructed of Cahelium Extract-X providing heat protection from intense temperatures and resilient dozer blade capability. Always places his charges in the one place that affords maximum damage. There is no question about his infiltration skills since no one has ever reported seeing him enter or leave any target area. Even Cobra Commander doesn't know much about Firefly. His fees are paid into a numbered Swiss bank account and are always payable in advance. He makes no guarantees and gives no refunds. - FireFly was once known as -v-, the name being an obvious ripoff of popular ThinkTanks modder -z-. -v- at one point created "Planetthinktanks2," which he claimed to be the next PlanetThinkTanks website. His site was hosted at Freewebs and most of its content was directly ripped from the first PTT, other than the site design, which was infact a default Freewebs template. This means that he must avoid certain enemies and pits that he will not be able to see in the dark without their help. The fireflies also appear in the bonus round of these stages, acting as a temporary guide until Crash completes the stage.
- In the 22nd century, a species of firefly lived on planet Archer IV. One night, some of the fireflies were encountered there by a landing party from the NX-class starship Enterprise. The landing party included Crewman Elizabeth Cutler, who lightly waved one away while Ensign Travis Mayweather was telling a ghost story. The fireflies abruptly left the area, as Cutler noted. She and Charles "Trip" Tucker jokingly commented on the possibility that either the story or the ghost in the tale had frightened away the insects, moments before a storm front approached.
