- Swanna was caught as a Ducklett. It evolved during a battle with another Swanna.

- Delphox was caught as a Fennekin. It evolved during Kayden's battle with Grant. It evolved again against Team Flare.
- Dragagle was caught as a Skrelp and evolved during Kayden's battle against Ramos.
- Flaaffy was caught as a Mareep. I evolved into Flaaffy while visiting its friends.
- Krookidile was caught as a Sandile. It eventually evolved.
- Talonflame was caught as a Fletchling. During Kayden's battle with a wild Helioptile it evolved and allowed Kayden to capture the Helioptile. It then evolved again against Olympia.
- Snivy was the first pokemon Kayden caught in Unova. It eventually evolved into Serperior.
- Kayden caught Poochyena in Call of the Wild Pokemon.
- Heliolisk was caught as a Helioptile with the help of Kayden's newly evolved Fletchinder. It later evolved against Clement after being overwhelmed by his Luxray.
- Kayden was given an egg as a gift. It later hatched a Growlithe.
